Device operation

In Standby the device displays "Please scan ticket" on the display and waits for a ticket to be scanned.

When a ticket is scanned the controller sends the code to a remote ticketing server using an HTTPS protocol. Based on the response of the server the device then manages the opening mechanisms of the turnstile in the appropriate direction and displays a custom message sent from the ticketing server onto the display, as well as lighting up the optional RGB LED strip in the desired color and carries out an audible signal using its external siren for the set duration.

If a second scanner is connected to the controller, two separate turnstile mechanisms can be controlled by the device. In that case the device controls the mechanism that corresponds to the specific scanner that the ticket was scanned on. Which scanner controls which mechanism can be configured as any other setting of the device.

The device's firmware can be updated both manually on-site and through a remote service server with the use of a standard SD card inserted into the controller.
